Carlos Valenzuela is a seasoned beauty expert and entrepreneur. Born in Mexico, Carlos obtained a Masters Degree in International Business, and then worked with Levi Strauss International in Buenos Aires, Sao Paolo, Caracas and Mexico City. Later he moved to London during the pivotal Vidal Sassoon era, and became a hairdresser. In 1983, back in the U.S., he founded the Carlos Valenzuela Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona (now a TiGi Academy) training stylists for 15+ years. Valenzuela had the distinct honor of being on the first team of hairdressers to visit China in 1979. During his lifetime, he has toured over 17 countries, educating salon professionals worldwide on artistry and business knowhow. Other accomplishmentsCarlos is responsible for the creation and hosting of Sally al Aire for Sally Beauty Company and Univision Radio, founding of Cosmetólogos Latinos® for Cosmetologists Chicago, and later the Latino Fashion Group® for the Professional Beauty Association.
